I've always liked reading. I used to read more in middle school but I slowed down a lot since then. I know that I've been reading since I was 3 years old, or maybe even before that. I remember a picture in my house of me when I was two "reading" a book about the ABCs. I think I was looking more at the colors and pictures though. My favorite book as of right now called Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. Its about a wealthy afghan boy life from birth all the way to adulthood. It describes all the good times and bad times. I just finished it last week and I read it whenever I had the chance. My most memorable experience in reading was having to read the whole Harry Potter series in 2 weeks. Books 1-7. I made a deal with my teacher saying that if I finished it I would get to be apart of a party with some other kids. Right now I'm reading a book called Slam by Walter Dean Myers Its about a 17 year old boy nicknamed slam. Hes a talented basketball player but he struggles with his academics. Then he's stressed about his closest friend Ice dealing with the wrong people, the thought of his grandma dying, and his girlfriend Mtisha. I've never had any real challenges with reading outside one time when I tried to read Beowulf. As soon as I opened the page it confused me because instead of it going on with the story it took me to chapter 6.
